The Teahouse of Anger
You are welcome here.
Yes, even you, Anger.
We’ve been taught to fear you.
To suppress you.
To avoid your heat like it’s dangerous.
But you were never the problem.
You are sacred fire.
You arise when a boundary has been crossed,
when a truth has been ignored,
when a voice has been silenced.
You burn not to destroy,
but to illuminate.
“Something here is not okay.”
“Something needs to change.”
“I will not be erased.”
What Is Anger Trying to Tell You?
- A need or value has been violated
- A boundary has been crossed
- There is injustice, disrespect, or repression
- The body is saying: “I matter.”
Invite Anger in for Tea
Let it stomp. Let it spit.
Let it crackle around the rim of the cup.
You don’t need to act it out.
You don’t need to suppress it.
You only need to listen.
Ask it:
“What are you protecting?”
“What was crossed?”
“What truth are you carrying?”
Anger, held with reverence, becomes clarity.
It is not the fire that burns the house down,
It is the fire in the hearth that says:
“This is my home.”
“My anger has meant pain to me but it has also meant survival...
I have not only survived, I have grown because of it.”
