I believe that for therapy to be effective, a space must be created in which the client feels safe to become their full authentic self. When the individual is seen and heard without judgement, acceptance and growth can begin to unfold.
My primary trainings are in dialectical behavior therapy, the hakomi method and existential psychotherapy. I practice a holistic approach that incorporates the physical, mental and spiritual facets of our being. As these aspects of self are intertwined, finding healing in one aspect can bring about positive change to the whole system.
I incorporate mindfulness into much of my work and have noticed the profound impact that breathwork and returning to the present moment can have. We will work together to find the roots of empowerment and reconnect with your intrinsic ability to become your own greatest healer.

Former Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius, once wrote, “The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”
As a mental health therapist associate from South Texas, I realize that therapy goes beyond the diagnosis realm and into a wider space of attunement and healing. Gabor Mate asserted that healing does not rely on getting rid of the pain but in increasing one’s capacity to be resilient to it. I honor you as a human, with many parts and crevices that showcase your authentic self. My approach to therapy is geared toward helping you feel heard and empowered to make your own decisions, through various strategies and techniques from philosophical and existential dimensions.
I utilize these creative and evidence-based techniques with both individual and cultural identities in mind.
