The Teahouse of Compassion
Compassion doesn’t look away.
It looks deeper.
Compassion is not pity.
It’s presence.
It’s choosing to remain open while someone else suffers, even when you can’t fix it.
It says: *“I will not abandon you in this.”*
It rises when love meets pain, and stays anyway.
It has strong arms and soft hands.
And sometimes, those hands are your own.
Compassion says:
“I see your pain, and I do not turn away.”
“Even this deserves warmth.”
“You are not alone.”
What Is Compassion Trying to Tell You?
- You are feeling into the suffering of another, or your own, with tenderness.
- Your heart knows that presence can heal more than solutions.
- Judgment is not needed here. Just staying with.
- Compassion doesn’t erase pain, it shares its weight.
Invite Compassion in for Tea
It may sit quietly, reaching out without words.
It will not demand that you fix anything.
It will simply stay, and hold space.
Ask it:
“Where am I still withholding care?”
“Can I offer the same gentleness to myself that I offer to others?”
“What would it feel like to meet this moment with warmth?”
Compassion is not passive.
It is fierce softness. Steady presence. A sacred vow to remain kind.
“Be kind, for everyone you meet
is fighting a battle you cannot see.”
